Meet the

team.

Located in California, the Feeding Your Soul Nutrition team is a group of outpatient registered dietitians who support you in reclaiming your relationship with food and body in a way that honors your authentic self, values, culture, individual needs, and preferences.

Our goal is to work alongside you as you unpack the food/body beliefs that are compromising these relationships and learn skills to rebuild trust, connection, intuition, and care with yourself.

If food has to be a part of our daily lives for survival, let’s try to foster a relationship with food rooted in pleasure, preference, deliciousness, enoughness, and adequacy. Life is challenging enough, let’s remove the barriers with nourishing ourselves. Let’s shift food into something that supports the life we want to live instead of something that restricts and complicates our life.

Natalie is not currently accepting new clients. Please check out the rest of our team of dietitians to get started with one of them!

Natalie's Specialties:

Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating, Pregnancy + Postpartum, Child & Family Feeding (Baby Led Weaning), Sports/Performance Nutrition , Body image healing

Shame, guilt, confusion, anxiety, rigidity… these are all things that can show up in our relationship with food. Yes, you can (and do!) have an intimate relationship with food. Think about it - we have to nourish ourselves daily and society puts pressure on us to eat a certain way. This can be met with body dissatisfaction, frustration, anger, and a desire to alter this relationship to be rooted in care, respect, and kindness. Are you ready to explore what it means to live your most authentic, values-aligned life that honors your full self? We’d be a good fit if you are looking to work with someone who can be firm against your eating disorder and center the person underneath.

Hey there, I’m Natalie. I’m an eating disorder dietitian who values authenticity more than performing to fit in. My own connection and love of food is what led me to do the work that I do today. California has been my home for many years now and let me tell you, nothing brings me quite as much joy as being by the ocean. Okay, that’s a lie. I have a not-so-secret love for other peoples’ dogs. One day I’ll have my own rescue dog! Other things that are on brand - spending time with my family and taking a twerk dancing class every Friday.

All folks deserve to experience a relationship with food that nourishes not only their bodies, but their whole life. Our culture has created an unrealistic and harmful definition of health defined by diet and fitness culture, centering thinness as an equivalent to health. Health is far more nuanced than the size of an individual’s body. Nutrition and health are experienced through our identities as humans, creating a complex relationship unique to each individual. Society would have us believe there are limitations and rules to how we are meant to engage with food, engage with our bodies. A true path to nutrition and sustenance requires no limitations, rather an experience of eating that feels a whole lot like freedom.

Life has no shortage of challenges when it comes to feeding ourselves day-to-day. Whether it’s understanding how our bodies communicate hunger and fullness cues, tolerating body image distress, or challenging societal expectations of what you “should” be eating, we’ll work together to find practical solutions to remove these limitations and settle into the wisdom that you’re the expert of your own body. My approach is always through kindness, with a commitment to inclusivity, and a dash of humor. We’ll be a good fit if you hold a marginalized identity and are ready to sift through the bullshit that prevents you from pursuing your authentic self.

Hi friend! I’m Emily. I’m an eating disorder dietitian, recreational interpretative dancer and spectacular shower singer. It’s not uncommon for me to break into song and dance, especially as a means to process emotion. You can find me most weekends in the garden, searching for some vintage treasures, or hanging with my furry companions. I fancy myself a bit of a story teller. It’s probably why I’m so drawn to stories, whether they’re in the form of a podcast, a movie, or a simple conversation. Though I’m always down for a drama or lighthearted comedy, I have a propensity for true crime and the paranormal. I love a good ghost story, but only with the lights on and the doors locked.

There is no one size fits all approach to nutrition that works for everyone. We are unique in body size, shape, lived experience and food preferences, so our relationship with food and body will be too. Yes, food is the fuel that our bodies use to do all of the incredible things they do every day, but it is so much more. It is connection and community building, creativity and expression, a way to show love and care for ourselves and others - and it’s important to foster that. Let’s remember what it felt like to have fun with food!.

Our relationships with food and our bodies are as complex and unique as we are. When we’ve spent years suppressing or ignoring our bodies’ innate cues, they can be difficult to recognize. Learning to practice interpreting these specific signals is hard work. Untangling the years of rules and challenging our beliefs around food can be scary. It can feel isolating, but no one has to do it alone. Let’s rebuild the connection and trust that allows us to have confidence in our ability to nourish ourselves with ease.

For those who are looking to manage symptoms of PCOS or prepare their body for pregnancy, nutrition and lifestyle factors are key components of any well rounded plan.

Hi, I’m Lauren! I LOVE food and leaning into the flexibility of cooking (but definitely don’t have the patience for the precision that baking requires). I hate cucumbers (but love pickles), have never met a potato I didn’t like (mashed, fried, baked, sweet - they’re all delicious), live for sweet corn and fresh fruit in the summer, anything with peanut butter and dark chocolate, and an occasional glass of good wine or French 75.

Beyond food, I’m a Midwesterner with a soft spot for the West Coast who loves exploring other places and cultures. I have the travel bug in my genes. My mom owned a travel agency so I’ve been blessed to visit quite a few places already, but my wish list is constantly growing.

If there’s two things I could accomplish by the end of the year, it would be to learn more Spanish and pick up playing piano again. But in the meantime, you can find me kayaking, trying out new HIIT sessions, taking my dog for walks, curling up with a good spy novel or romantic comedy, or venturing out to listen to live music.

Three independent factors- body, mind, and food- are intertwined in a beautifully complex relationship. You can’t address any of these factors without acknowledging their impact on mental health and the ability to live authentically. If you’re ready to explore the intersection of your body, mind, and food, we would be a great fit!

Hi, I’m Sophia! I’m most known as being the “concierge” of the group because I’m usually the one making the plans among my friends. I identify most with the Enneagram One traits of being principle and purposeful - and yes, purpose includes baking all the sourdough to bring to outings with my friends and family. Who doesn’t love some fresh bread while soaking up the views from the top of a mountain after a hike?!

If you feel like food controls your life and you can’t break this obsession, then you’re in the right place. As a guide on your journey, we can create space for you to explore mindfulness, intuitive eating, and approaching your health goals from a new perspective. We’ll be a good fit to work together if you’re ready to get curious about your relationship with food and be open-minded along the way.

Hi, I’m Amanda! Advocacy is at the center of my work as a dietitian - I enjoy meeting people where they are at and journeying with them as they explore new aspects of their life. If my besties were to describe me, passionate would be included in their description - which not only comes across in my work as a dietitian but as in my hobbies like gardening. I’m just out here living my dream and I hope you’re in pursuit of that too!

Through self compassion and embodiment work, we can explore what it means to truly live in and honor our bodies. We unfortunately live in a society in which controlling and punishing our bodies is normalized. Instead of listening to our intuitions and inner signals, we are often listening to outside sources that make us feel unworthy and wrong. I’m passionate about finding ways to tune back into ourselves and practice the radical act of self love and acceptance. Since every body is so different, the nutrition approach has to be too. Despite all the messaging that makes nutrition seem impossible and confusing, I believe that it can be simple and accessible to anyone! Together, we can throw out the food rules that society tells us we should follow, and instead learn how to nourish our bodies, minds, and souls in a sustainable and practical way that works for you. We’d be a good fit if you’re ready to address your barriers to nutrition and find solutions to improve your relationship with food.

I was lucky enough to grow up on the central coast of CA, so the beach is my happy place! I also work at an inpatient eating disorder treatment center, where I’m the lead RD of our adolescent unit. I work with our adult clients as well, and run weekly groups that explore body image, social media, and nutrition skills. I fill in at residential, PHP, and IOP levels when I can, so I’m able to experience all levels of eating disorder recovery! Helping to heal relationships with food and body has been my passion for a long time, so I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do this work. When I’m not at work, you can probably find me reading, swimming, trying new restaurants, or watching The Great British Baking Show with my two kitties.
